About the ITU Association of Japan

The ITU Association of Japan (ITU-AJ) was founded on September 1,1971 to coordinate Japanese activities in telecommunication and broadcasting sectors with international activities. Since then, ITU-AJ has been conducting cooperation/coordination works for international organizations including the International Telecommunication Union (ITU).

The ITU-AJ, as its regular activities, organizes Study Meetings on Basic Matters for the ITU, ITU-T(Telecommunication standardization Sector), ITU-R (Radiocommunication Sector) and Digital Opportunities, in addition to seminars for the young and new participants to international conferences or meetings to brush up their skills in English and negotiation In addition, ITU-AJ is also assisting training programs organized by the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and the Asia-Pacific Telecommunity (APT).For the dissemination of information on the activities of ITU to its member companies, ITU-AJ collects such information as the results of various ITU meetings, and to update our members by publishing monthly magazines and holding seminars in a timely manner.
